A super refreshing lager, brewed using traditional German malts and hops, one to enjoy with your mates and look on the bright side of life!

Over a month into the tragic and heart breaking situation in Ukraine, we have been discussing how we can continue to support the humanitarian appeal.

Appropriately designed in Ukrainian colours we’ll be donating all webshop sales from our lager Bright Side to the Disasters Emergency Committee Ukraine. So please do add a couple to your basket or even a whole case.

 

A three barrel blend of blonde wild ale fermented by and aged on our wild London yeast for an average age of 13 months in oak & then carbonically macerated on freshly picked 2020 Chardonnay grapes for a further 3 months. The aroma of this beer is green apple skin, hint of noble hop grassiness. The percieved acid level of this beer is relatively moderate with gentle appply malic acid mouthfeel. The flavour of this beer has a clean buttery tang consistent with warm climate chardonnays with a hint of crisp cider apple crunchiness. This apple character slowly fades into a touch of white peach before finishing with a whiser of tannin and a hint of stemmy wood.

A two barrel blend of blonde wild ale fermented by and aged on our wild London yeast for an average age of 13 months in oak & then carbonically macerated on second use damson plums from 2020 for another month in fruit tank. The aroma of this beer is bursting with oak, vanilla, a touchy of hibiscus and a light quince paste sweetness. The perceived acid level of this beer for us was light to moderate with a desert sweetness balancing out most of the acid from the fruit. The flavour of this beer starts with a large plum jam character upfront that transitions into a combo of citrus and vanilla through the mid palate that reminds me of coke bottle confectionaries before finishing velvetty smooth and creamy.

A three barrel blend of blonde wild ale fermented by and aged on our wild London yeast for an average of 24 months in oak. Refermented on freshly picked damson plums from Green Acres Farm.

The aroma reminds of plum sauce with a hint of fresh, seedless, crimson grapes; as it warms the delicate phenolics from the plum skins open up. The flavour of this beer is dominated by the incredible damson plum fruit character from the very high fruit to beer ratio. It starts rich and almost reminiscent of quince paste before being met by a refreshing acidity, mellowing into fresh plum and finishing with a touch of tannin.
