Reburried: Raspberry

Wild Ale Refermented on Second Use Raspberries. Alc 5.7% Vol

A two barrel blend of 18 month old wild ale refermented on second use raspberries. Ageing beer on second use fruit gives us a completely different experience than fresh fruit as it allows the base beer to shine through as the star of the show.

This particular beer still has the hallmarks of a raspberry beer with a radiant pink glow and an aroma of fresh raspberries but the flavour is where it all comes together. The wheat and spelt from the base beer present creamy as they mix with the high residual proteins from the remaining raspberry puree. The flavour is bursting with pink sherbert, has a quaffable acidity, and finishes with a delicate raspberry sweetness.
